This is how a low compression twin turbo 5.9 cummins runs at idle. Its probably around 13:1 compression so that it doesn't blow up with the roughly 90psi of boost its probably running. Made 1200hp on a chassis dyno a week before the pulls.

Listen to those twin turbos spool up on the starting line! SWEET! I kept the filming going to catch all the smoke at the end.

A Lenco armored vehicle. They're made in Pittsfield MA and they sell them to the Military. It weighs 19,000lbs, is built on an F550 chassis... and it broke right after it down downshifted in front of me.

The most AWESOME pull of the night. Most AWESOME pull I've ever seen. The guy who owns/built this truck also built johns motor in the camo truck. He told John that this motor maxed out his 3000hp dyno. Yeah... MORE than 3000hp!

These guys actually have a cubic inch advantage on the guy who ended up winning with a 405ft pull... but if you watch, about half way down the track he loses a cylinder on the right side.. then he loses one on the left right in front of me. Raw fuel spitting out the pipe.

This guy had serious set-up problems. His timing was WAAAAY off for pulling. You can here it breaking up.. and see flames coming out of the stacks. Truck should/could have done much better.

A blown & alchohol injected HEMI powered 2wd truck. 1st pull. These 2wd Mod trucks were so loud that it physically hurt my ears.

Driven by Wes from Marks Garage in Granby. He did pretty good considering that almost every other truck had 500ci. This truck only had a 427 in it.

The ONLY small-block truck at the event. A 400ci Chevy. Pretty impressive being 100cubes short of the big boys.

Pulling trucks are slightly weight biased over the front axle for traction purposes. :)

Marcotte Ford now has a truck that they run at the local pulls. WHY didn't they have this when I worked there!? I would have gladly driven it for them!
After seeing the Dodge picture earlier I was telling Stacey about Cheeky's "death rides"!... 3 comments
