I hiked that side back in high school and along the top its slow rolling hills with a well marked and wide trail. The only hard part is going up from the Notch, unless you go west to east. Its alot easier that way.

We're thinking of doing the Holyoke Range West this weekend. Who's in? Justin, I think you should DRIVE up just to do this then go back. Actually, you are the only one who has done this leg of the range. What do you think it will be like in the snow?
Another option is nearby Mt. Orient and Amethyst Brook in Amherst. Pete used to mountain bike here and says it's pretty cool.
